Leader of the Samajwadi Party Dimple Yadav took her oath as a member of parliament on Monday.
After the passing of SP patriarch and her father-in-law Mulayam Singh Yadav, the former chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, she was elected from the Mainpuri parliamentary constituency.
Dimple Yadav, the wife of former chief minister and SP president Akhilesh Yadav, defeated Raghuraj Singh Shakya of the BJP on December 8 with a margin of 2,40,322.
