IIM Sambalpur and IG Drones have recently entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on advancing drone technology applications in Business Analytics, Management Strategies, and Public Policy. This partnership was formalized during the 100-Cube Start-up Conclave at IIM Sambalpur, where Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan presided over the event.
Under the agreement, IG Drones will establish a drone center of excellence at IIM Sambalpur’s Delhi Campus, serving as a focal point for research, innovation, and entrepreneurship in the drone technology sector. The MoU specifically emphasizes the exploration of drone technology in the realms of Business Analytics, Management Strategies, and Public Policy.
IIM Sambalpur Director Dr. Mahadeo Jaiswal expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating, “We are glad to sign an MOU and partner with the leading drone technology company, IG Drones, for advanced applications of drone technology in business analytics, management strategies, and public policy governance.”
Additionally, IG Drones has already set up over 15 Centers of Excellence across India, with plans to establish 1000 such centers. Their vision is to empower Indian youth with advanced drone technology. The company has strategically collaborated with multiple state governments, over 100 Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), and leading Multinational Corporations (MNCs) to provide a comprehensive range of drone-related services.
