PM Modi to formally inaugurate Kashi-Tamil Samagam on Saturday

According to a senior source, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will formally open the month-long Kashi-Tamil Samagam in Varanasi on Saturday.

As part of his about three-hour visit to his parliamentary district, he will also address the crowd, according to Mahanagar Chairman Vidyasagar Rai.

At the Banaras Hindu University’s amphitheatre field, Modi will formally open the samagam (BHU).

The Kashi-Tamil Samagam is being held in Varanasi with the intention of reviving the cultural ties between that city and Tamil Nadu.

It Is a central government initiative as a part of “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.”

The initiative strives to promote the Tamil language and culture while also honouring the spirit of “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat.”

The programme, which runs from November 17 to December 16, aims to rekindle the centuries-old intellectual ties and prehistoric civilizational connections between Tamil Nadu and Kashi (Varanasi).
