Madhya Pradesh :12-year-old student molested by Madrassa teacher in Indore

A 12-year-old girl was allegedly molested by her teacher at a madrasa in Madhya Pradesh’s Indore city, police said on Saturday October 8.

Police on Friday registered a case against a 52-year-old madrasa teacher under Indian Penal Code section 354 (assault or criminal force to any woman) and relevant provisions of the Protection of Children against Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act.

Chandannagar police station inspector Abhay Nema told two sons of the teacher have also been booked for beating up the father and uncle of the victim, he said, adding that a search has been launched for all three.

According to the complaint lodged by the victim’s family, the girl joined the madrasa teacher in September and while teaching the lesson, the accused teacher allegedly touched her appropriately in a room.

“The girl later narrated the ordeal to her parents. When her father with two other relatives reached the teacher’s house, his sons allegedly attacked the girl’s father and her uncle with iron rods and injured them,” Inspector Nema said.
