Following the cancellation of two examinations of the Class 10 exams administered by the State board within a week due to question paper leaks, Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pegu stated on Friday, March 17, 2023, that the entire examination system will be examined and corrected.

He acknowledged that there are “lapses in the system,” but added that the Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA) needs to identify the issues and implement fixes.

Mr. Pegu told reporters, “We have to fix it collectively.

According to Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, the Assamese paper of the Class 10 State board exam was also released days after the general science question paper.

The exam for the subject will now take place on March 30, according to a SEBA announcement.

Several students were arrested as part of the investigation by the CID.
