Bigg Boss 16: Salman Khan Refutes Rumours Of Receiving Rs 1,000 Cr For Hosting The Show

Salman Khan spoke openly about the numerous rumours that surround him, including the notion that he wouldn’t be hosting “Bigg Boss 16” and that his costs would exceed Rs 1,000 crore.

Salman said to reporters during the virtual media briefing: “I get annoyed sometimes and tell these people that I don’t want to do the show since they frequently ask me if I’m doing it or not. However, these people are powerless because they believe that if not me, then who else? Thus, they are powerless.” The star clearly intended the show’s creators when she said “them.”

Regarding the rumour that his fees were Rs 1000 cr, he responded as follows: “If I had received this much money, which I doubt, I wouldn’t need to work. I spend a lot of money on things like lawyers, and because of these rumours, the income-tax authorities will start paying attention to me.”

When asked why he was taking on the role of host again, he responded: “On this show, I learn a lot and get to meet a lot of new people. Whenever someone veers off course, I help them get back on course. I stand up for the oppressed and harass the bullies. We grow closer as a family throughout the four months when this show is broadcast.”

Salman continued by mentioning his mother’s waning interest in the programme. He disclosed: “She used to fervently follow it. She now also watches other programmes. Perhaps she feels that she has watched too much “Bigg Boss” due of this.”

On being asked about a piece of advice given to him by his mother, he mentioned jokingly: “She tells me to go and teach them a lesson. That is why I get so charged up.”

‘Bigg Boss 16’ is all set to start from October 1 at 9:30 p.m. on Colors.
