Airtel rolls out 5G Plus in 8 cities, no SIM change required

On Thursday, Bharti Airtel began offering 5G plus services in eight cities. Users don’t need to get a new SIM card because their current Airtel 4G SIM now supports 5G.

As the firm continues to build its network and finish the roll out, customers in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Siliguri, Nagpur, and Varanasi will gradually be able to use the Airtel 5G Plus services, according to the company.

In addition to 20 to 30 times faster speeds than the existing speed, the company also guarantees excellent sound quality and lightning-quick call connections.

Customers with 5G devices can utilise the fast Airtel 5G Plus on their current data plans while waiting for the rollout to be more broad.

“Any 5G phone will be able to use our solution, together with the consumers’ current SIM cards. A 5G solution that is more environmentally friendly has now been added to our focus with improving customer experience “said Gopal Vittal, Managing Director and CEO, Bharti Airtel.

For years to come, Vittal continued, “Airtel 5G Plus is all set to transform how people communicate, live, work, connect, and play.”

The technology that underpins Airtel 5G Plus has the most global adoption and the most advanced ecosystem.

This would guarantee seamless operation of the Airtel network on all 5G devices in India.

Superfast access to high-definition video streaming, gaming, simultaneous chatting, rapid photo uploading, and more will be possible with Airtel 5G Plus.

At the nation’s formal 5G launch last week, Bharti Airtel presented Prime Minister Narendra Modi with smart farming solutions as well as a 5G-connected ambulance that will revolutionise emergency primary health care.
