Aadhar To Be Mandatory For Registration Of Marriage In UP, New Order to be Issued Soon

In Uttar Pradesh, the aadhar number will become a need for marriage registration, and a new rule in this regard will be issued soon.

According to Live Hindustan, the state administration made the measure to stop bogus marriage registration. The Stamp and Registration Department will issue a directive in this regard, according to the report. In Uttar Pradesh, the Stamp and Registration Government has been authorised to register marriages, and the department has created an internet system specifically for this use. Candidates must register on the official website, https://igrsup.gov.in, in order to register a marriage. What paperwork is needed to register a marriage? Currently, all parties must present identity proof, age proof, residence proof, and other documentation in order to register a marriage. A fresh photo must also be submitted in addition to this. Moreover, identity proof of two witnesses, age proof is also needed for the purpose.
