According to the announcement made by Pratap Singh Baghel, secretary of the Basic Education Council, promotions for any students in grades one through eight in the academic year 2022–2023 shall continue.
Students in grades one through eight who attend schools run by the Basic Education Council will be promoted to the next class without taking exams, according to a statement from the Uttar Pradesh government.
According to the announcement made by Pratap Singh Baghel, secretary of the Basic Education Council, all council schools and recognised schools run by the Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Council will continue to allow students in grades one through eight to be promoted during the academic year 2022–2023.
Moreover, guidelines have been provided for distributing student report cards based on yearly exams and evaluations. The marks will be assigned in accordance with the order by converting both the complete marks and the marks related to 100 marks.
The ruling is made in light of the Right to Education Act, which permits moving students from grades one through eight to the next class without holding them back or failing them.
“The state doesn’t have a retention strategy. This states that no child will fail. The same RTE Act is followed by this ruling. It is put into practise every year, and this year orders have been issued to ensure that no child is failed despite the requirements. Its goal is to support the kids by moving them on to the next classes while also giving them a continuous, high-quality education to ensure their overall growth, according to Vijay Kiran Anand, director general of school education.
On the day of the announcement of the annual results, the School Management Committee will also have a meeting. Report cards will also be given out at the same time as the students’ graded answer sheets are presented to the kids and their guardians.
