The Bollywood star took to Instagram to celebrate Chandu Champion’s OTT release, reflecting on his challenging yet rewarding journey portraying Murlikant Petkar, India’s first Paralympic gold medallist.

While the film had an average run at the box office, Kartik Aaryan’s performance in Chandu Champion has been widely praised, with fans and critics alike calling it one of his best performances to date. Sources even suggest that the actor might be in contention for a National Award for his role. Following its theatrical release on June 14, the film is now available for streaming on Amazon Prime.

When I first embarked on the journey of Chandu Champion to transform into Murlikant Petkar’s Character and physique, many warned me it would be an impossible feat. The sacrifices were immense and some friends even questioned if it would be worth it. My answer then was a resolute yes and that conviction remains unwavering. The outpouring of love, praise, and compliments from both the masses and critics fills my heart with immense pride and gratitude. This role was more than just a part for me; it was a profound journey,” wrote Kartik Aaryan.

The actor also drew a parallel between the film’s OTT release and the ongoing Paris Olympics, highlighting how the timing enhances the film’s significance. He encouraged fans to watch the movie and let the story of India’s first Paralympic Gold Medalist inspire them.

Chandu Champion delves into the inspiring life of Murlikant Petkar, a boxer who overcame paralysis from injuries sustained during the 1965 Indo-Pakistan War to become India’s first Paralympic gold medallist in swimming. The film is now available for streaming on Amazon Prime, where audiences can experience this incredible story of resilience and triumph.
