AP Govt Launches “Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar” to Screen 34 Lakh Women for Better Health

The Andhra Pradesh government has taken a landmark step in women’s healthcare by launching the “Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar” initiative. This ambitious health drive aims to screen 34 lakh women across the state through 16,000 medical camps, focusing on both preventive and curative healthcare.

Cancer (early detection of cervical, breast, and other types)

Anaemia, which remains a major concern among women in India

Tuberculosis (TB), one of the leading infectious diseases

Sickle cell disease, a genetic condition affecting many families

Beyond these, the camps will also provide services in maternal health, child healthcare, and mental wellness, ensuring that women receive holistic support.

According to health experts, women in rural and semi-urban areas often face barriers in accessing timely medical care. By organizing 16,000 health camps at the community level, the AP government is breaking these barriers and ensuring:
