The Education Ministry announced on Thursday that the revised results for NEET-UG 2024 have not yet been declared, advising candidates to wait for official information.
An official spokesperson from the Ministry stated, “The revised results for NEET-UG 2024 have not been declared yet. Kindly wait for official information.”
The confusion arose when an old link on the National Testing Agency (NTA) website was mistakenly assumed to be the announcement of the new scorecards. This link, initially shared on Thursday, led to the assumption that the fresh results had been released.
The NTA is currently revising scorecards following a retest for 1,563 candidates. This marks the third revision after the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi recommended deducting five marks for a Physics question that was incorrectly answered. The revised results will affect the rankings of all 23 lakh candidates, including those who had previously achieved full marks.
The old link on the NTA website was reactivated after the retest results for the 1,563 candidates were announced. This required all candidates to download their mark sheets again. However, it is not the link for the latest scorecards scheduled for release.
Earlier this week, Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan assured that the revised NEET-UG scores would be shared within two days. In response to Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge’s criticism of NEET-UG paper leaks, Mr. Pradhan emphasized the government’s commitment to ensuring zero-error and tamper-proof exams. He noted that some exams had been stalled and postponed to maintain this standard.
