As part of the government’s ‘Rozgar Mela’ (employment fair), Prime Minister Narendra Modi will distribute about 71,000 appointment letters to new recruits on Tuesday via video conferencing and also address them, his office said.
The Prime Minister’s Office said the drive is a step towards fulfilling his commitment to according highest priority to employment generation, and it is expected to be a catalyst in creating more jobs and providing meaningful opportunities to the youth for their empowerment and participation in national development directly.
75,000 individuals received appointment letters earlier in October.
At 45 sites throughout the nation, with the exception of Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh, where the Model Code of Conduct is in effect, appointment letters will be physically distributed.
He said that in addition to the categories of positions already filled, openings are also being made for instructors, lecturers, nurses, nursing officers, physicians, pharmacists, radiographers, and other technical and paramedical positions.
The Ministry of Home Affairs is filling a sizable number of positions in various Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF).
According to the office, Modi would also introduce the Karmayogi Prarambh module.
The module is an online training programme for all newly appointed employees in different government agencies. A code of conduct for government employees, workplace ethics and integrity, human resource policies, and other benefits and allowances would be included, it was said. These things will help them get used to the rules and settle into their new responsibilities without any trouble.
To further develop their knowledge, skills, and abilities, they will also have the chance to explore additional courses on the igotkarmayogi.gov.in platform, according to the statement.
Modi in June had instructed many government agencies and departments to hire 10 lakh workers in “mission mode” during the course of the following 18 months.
They will also get an opportunity to explore other courses on the igotkarmayogi.gov.in platform to enhance their knowledge, skills and competencies, it said.
Modi had in June asked various government departments and ministries to undertake the recruitment of 10 lakh people on a “mission mode” in the next year and a half.
