President Murmu to launch start-up platform for women entrepreneurs

On Tuesday, President Droupadi Murmu will introduce a start-up platform for female entrepreneurs developed by Gujarat University.

The president will also inaugurate or lay the cornerstones for other projects connected to education and tribal development on the second day of her two-day visit to Gujarat, during a gathering at Gujarat University.

The varsity has launched a programme for female entrepreneurs called “Her Start.”

Murmu is making her first trip to Gujarat since taking office. At a ceremony in Gandhinagar on Monday, she formally opened or laid the cornerstone for projects worth Rs. 1,330 crore.

At Sabarmati Ashram, she also presented flowers as a tribute to Mahatma Gandhi.
