Ram Setu first teaser: Akshay Kumar’s archaeologist goes on a deep-sea diving mission to save Lord Rama’s bridge

The Ram Setu teaser, starring Jacqueline Fernandez and Akshay Kumar, has just been released.

Akshay Kumar portrays an archaeologist in the new video who is desperately trying to save the legendary Ram Setu. He dives underwater in an outfit that is uncannily reminiscent of a spacesuit. We don’t fully comprehend the plot, but we do know that Akshay has three days to save the Ram Setu, which appears to be a reference to the imaginary bridge that the vanar sena created in the Ramayana. There are fleeting glimpses of Satyadev Kancharan, Nushratt Bharuccha, and Jacqueline Fernandez.

Akshay runs through jungles and slides down muddy paths while dodging explosives and gunfire in the suspenseful trailer. You are not alone if seeing the teaser makes you think of The Mummy, National Treasure, or Titanic.

A group of limestone shoals known as Ram Sethu are situated between Mannar Island, off the north-western coast of Sri Lanka, and Rameswaram Island, off the south-eastern coast of Tamil Nadu. Rama built the bridge when he arrived in Lanka to save Sita from Raavana, according to the Ramayana. The movie, according to Akshay, serves as a “bridge between generations past, present, and future.” On the poster for the movie, which was announced on Diwali 2020, Akshay is positioned in front of a picture of Lord Ram. Myth or reality? Was the poster’s caption. The undersea bridge is also hinted to in the teaser.

Ram Setu has been directed by Abhishek Sharma and co-produced by Cape of Good Films along with Amazon Prime Video, Abundantia Entertainment, and Lyca Productions.

Ram Setu happens to be Akshay’s fifth film in the year, after Cuttputtli, Samrat Prithviraj, Bachchan Pandey and Raksha Bandhan.
