Yogi announces three-day state mourning on Mulayam’s death

Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, expressed his condolences for the passing of previous CM Mulayam Singh Yadav and ordered a three-day period of mourning throughout the state.

With full state honours, the deceased leader’s final rites will be performed.

Akhilesh Yadav, leader of the Samajwadi Party, and SP lawmaker Prof. Ram Gopal Yadav were also phoned by Yogi Adityanath.

He claimed in a statement that Mulayam Singh Yadav’s passing signifies the end of a time when socialist philosophy and individuals who believed in fight were in power.

Satish Mahana, the speaker of the UP, also expressed sorrow on the legendary leader’s passing.
