New Delhi: Senior journalist, columnist, writer, poet and renowned film critic Pradeep Sardana was honored with the ‘Ratnashree Award’ last evening.
In a grand ceremony organized in the capital, this honor was given to Shri Sardana by Dinesh Khanna, former director of ‘National School of Drama’ and current director of ‘Geeta Shodh Sansthan and Rasleela Academy’.
The honor was given to Shri Pradeep Sardana for his extraordinary work in the fields of writing, journalism, poetry, art, and cinema.
Shri Dinesh Khanna said on this occasion- “the work that Pradeep Sardana ji has been doing as a film critic and film historian along with his remarkable contribution in journalism, literature and art-culture for the last 45 years is highly commendable. His writings on politics, literature, cinema, art culture, and social and current affairs are outstandingly amazing.”
Shri Pradeep Sardana, who has been awarded many awards till now, is the youngest editor of the country and also the pioneer in journalism on television in India.
Apart from this, he holds a unique record in his name of being live for 52 hours in 4 days on 5 major national news channels of the country.
