Tips to remove pungent smell from tiffin boxes

Those who are adept at cooking are fortunate! Cooking, however, can occasionally leave behind disagreeable Oduors from a range of ingredients that are difficult to remove from tools. Spices can also leave a bad smell behind after cooking, in addition to meats and eggs.

The majority of the food produced in an Indian kitchen uses various spices, which could leave an Oduor on the cookware. Because the food is kept in tiffin boxes for such a long time, the Oduor is absorbed by the box, making them smelly objects. Here are some practical suggestions for eliminating the smell of cooking from them.

Employing coffee

Before adding water, put 1-2 tablespoons of coffee to a stale cooking tool. Extinguish the flame after allowing the coffee to brew for two to three minutes. Afterward, wait 15 to 20 minutes for the coffee to sit in the container before washing it with dish soap.

Using potatoes

Using potatoes, you may get rid of any odour. Before lightly salting both sides, potatoes should be sliced into thick slices. These potato slices should only be placed in your wastebasket for 10 to 15 minutes before being washed off.

Cinnamon

Cinnamon, a delicious spice, can be used to cover up smells coming from your cutlery. Just add a cinnamon stick and three to four cups of water to the vessel, and then boil it for five minutes. Let it cool so that your utensil is later on odourless.

White Vinegar

You may refer to vinegar as the kitchen’s hero given that you can use it for everything. It’s not just a flavouring component; it also makes a great cleaner that may get rid of unpleasant odours in your kitchen. Simply add one cup of white vinegar to the undesirable appliance, cover it, and simmer it for 10 to 15 minutes. This technique can get rid of the strongest odours.

Utilizing Lemon and Salt

This is the simplest piece of advice you can follow to stop those pesky odours from coming from your cutlery. Take some lemons that have been cut in half and a basin of salt. Rub the lemon slice in the salt and then scrub the damaged item completely. Remove it with dishwashing soap or detergent after 15 to 20 minutes.

citrus peels

Citric acid from lemon peels has many advantages. It is a powerful cleanser that can also be used to eliminate the overpowering smell of cooking. It only needs to cook some fresh lemon peels for 20 to 30 minutes in the same vessel before washing them off.

Baking soda

Although you may not be aware of all of its uses, baking soda is another another all-star in the kitchen! To get rid of excessive meat odours after cooking, combine two tablespoons of baking soda with four to five tablespoons of vinegar. Slices of thinly sliced lemon are added to the mixture. Clean your dish as soon as possible with this combination.
