  • To offer senior living spaces at Wadhwa Wise City, Panvel
  • Company’s first foray into the Mumbai market
  • ‘Primus Swarna’ a dedicated senior living community
  • Part of a sustainable integrated township project development

Mumbai, April 17, 2023: Primus, a leader in developing senior living and retirement communities in India, has tied up with The Wadhwa Group to provide premium senior living spaces; marking its entry into the Mumbai region. ‘Primus Swarna’ is part of an integrated township project at Wadhwa Wise City Panvel, spread across 138 acres being developed, with a total land size of 450 acres. This integrated township is sustainable in nature and holds the distinction of being the first-ever integrated township project in NAINA (Navi Mumbai Airport Influence Notified Area).

‘Primus Swarna’ is a dedicated senior living community to be housed in two exclusively designed towers; the first which will be launched soon, offering spacious 1 and 2 BHK apartments. The towers have been exclusively designed by Primus who would provide all the services for seniors, post completion. The project is expected to be completed within the next 3 years

There is a large need to cater to the ageing population in India who seek independence, quality services and a stress free lifestyle. The rising elderly population is expected to touch 194 million in 2031 from 138 million in 2021; a 41 per cent rise over a decade. The more interesting trend is the rise in nuclear families which is currently more than 40% and the joint family system is fast declining. This is accelerated by the upwardly mobile, financially independent, and educated seniors and NRI population coming back, post retirement etc.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Adarsh Narahari, Managing Director, Primus Senior Living said, “It gives us immense pleasure to be partnering with The Wadhwa Group for setting up senior living facilities at their project Wadhwa Wise City. This partnership is based on the premise of care and passion which is core to both our philosophies. Senior living is a very specialized segment and the requirements for setting up and running such a home are very unique and demanding. This project is perfectly positioned, away from the hustle and bustle of city life, in the lap of nature, but yet in close proximity and well connected to major cities like Mumbai and Pune.”

“We work with the philosophy of reducing the process of ageing through a combination of proactive medical care, use of technology and providing a specialized elder centric environment. Seniors from Mumbai can now be part of such a unique community and have the additional benefit of getting their loved ones to be part of the same township. We hope to make a difference in the lives of elders in this region and help them age actively. I would like to thank The Wadhwa Group for choosing us as their partners and Aris Unitern for getting us into Mumbai,” added Mr. Narahari.

Mr. Navin Makhija, Managing Director, The Wadhwa Group said, “We welcome our association with Primus who are doing excellent work in the service for the elderly of our society. We believe our association with them will benefit the communities staying at Wadhwa Wise City. This is an ideal location and the expertise in senior living that Primus brings to the table, makes it a win-win situation for everyone. Mumbai is in need of such active senior living homes and given our respective strengths, we believe that this partnership will work to the benefit of our seniors living in the Mumbai region.”

Today, elders prefer to live in a senior home which is situated in an integrated township with a lot of greenery and nature and natural walking trails where people of all ages mingle with each other. They are part of a like-minded community in their exclusive tower, yet amidst a vibrant community in an integrated township. This helps them to have their family and extended family nearby, yet enjoy the various conveniences of a retirement community.

The senior living homes are elder friendly designed, keeping in mind the unique needs of its residents. At ‘Primus Swarna’ the residents will be provided with various services which include proactive medical care, in-house restaurant, Concierge, housekeeping and maintenance services, easy access to emergency healthcare, 24×7 security, CCTV cameras etc. In addition, a range of diverse activities will be conducted for the residents to give them an opportunity to pursue their passion; whilst keeping them mentally and physically fit.
