PM Modi Highlights AI, Education, and Healthcare as Pillars of Budget 2025

Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized the swift implementation of Budget 2025 provisions, focusing on artificial intelligence (AI), education, and healthcare as key drivers of India’s growth. Speaking at a post-Budget webinar on employment, he described the Budget as a “blueprint for India’s future,” designed to strengthen infrastructure, industries, and human capital.

Education and Skill Development Reforms

  • National Education Policy (NEP): The government is working towards aligning India’s education system with global standards by integrating modern learning techniques.
  • AI-Powered Learning: Efforts are being made to promote digital learning in 22 Indian languages, with AI playing a crucial role in enhancing accessibility and personalized education.
  • Skill Training Initiatives: More than 30 million youths have received skill training since 2014, and the government plans to upgrade 1,000 Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) and establish five Centres of Excellence for vocational education.
  • Industry-Academia Collaboration: Strengthening ties between educational institutions and industries to provide hands-on learning opportunities.

Healthcare Expansion and Accessibility

  • Medical Education Growth: The government plans to introduce 10,000 new medical seats, aiming to reach a total of 75,000 seats over the next five years.
  • Telemedicine Boost: Expansion of telemedicine services to all primary health centers to improve healthcare access in remote areas.
  • Cancer Care Infrastructure: Plans to establish daycare cancer centers in every district to provide specialized treatment closer to patients.

Urban Development and AI Integration

  • Urban Challenge Fund: A ₹1 lakh crore fund will support urban governance, infrastructure, and financial sustainability to accommodate India’s growing urban population, expected to reach 900 million by 2047.
  • Artificial Intelligence Investment: The Budget allocates ₹500 crore to AI-driven education and research, with AI projected to be a significant contributor to India’s economic growth.

PM Modi also emphasized the participatory nature of budgeting, highlighting that inputs from stakeholders were considered before, during, and after the budget process to ensure effective implementation. The government remains committed to fostering innovation, skilling the workforce, and strengthening healthcare infrastructure to build a self-reliant and future-ready India.
