From Bihar’s Chhapra to Haryana: How Anmol Kumar Navigated His NEET-UG Journey

An inspiring story of perseverance and dedication, Anmol Kumar navigated his NEET-UG journey through a series of challenges, from his hometown in Bihar’s Chhapra district to Haryana’s Rewari. Facing financial hardships, a lack of resources, and family responsibilities, Anmol’s journey reflects determination and a deep-rooted desire to succeed in the medical field.

Growing up in a small town with limited educational resources, Anmol struggled to prepare effectively for competitive exams. “The primary issue was the lack of quality educational resources, which made it difficult to prepare for competitive exams like NEET,” Anmol shared. His father’s ailing health and financial constraints added further stress. However, despite failing his first attempt, Anmol remained determined and reappeared for the NEET UG 2024, scoring an impressive 675 marks.

As the eldest son, Anmol carried the responsibility of improving his family’s situation. His father, a farmer, always motivated him to pursue education as a path to a better life. “I often heard my father say, ‘study hard, Anmol, keep putting your best effort into what you are doing.’ His words instilled a strong desire in me to pursue MBBS,” said Anmol.

Interestingly, when listing his medical college preferences, Anmol prioritized institutions in states like Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Haryana over prestigious ones like AIIMS-Delhi. His motivation? A deep desire to improve healthcare access in his hometown of Chhapra, where limited medical facilities had made a lasting impact on him.

Anmol’s uncle played a crucial role in his journey, supporting him financially when his family couldn’t afford coaching. “My father is a farmer, and we faced significant financial challenges. Understanding the importance of proper preparation, my uncle stepped in to help with coaching expenses, getting me admitted to Infinity Learn,” Anmol explained.

His disciplined routine was the key to his success. Waking up at 6 am daily, Anmol balanced coaching with several hours of self-study, revising concepts, solving questions, and taking mock tests. He structured his time efficiently, focusing on improving weak areas and maintaining a balanced preparation schedule.

Looking forward, Anmol dreams of becoming a cardiologist, driven by his passion for improving healthcare in underserved communities like Chhapra. His story is a testament to resilience, proving that with determination and the right support, one can overcome any obstacle to achieve their dreams.

This journey of how Anmol Kumar navigated his NEET-UG journey serves as an inspiration for aspiring students facing similar challenges.
