Reality, Toilets & Sanitary Napkins Dispensers For Girls in Schools.

Today 86% of the world population is educated which is why I can proudly say that people ignoring their caste, race, color, religion, sex, etc. are now educated about women empowerment. We are quite known to the previous generation where even saying the world sanitary napkins was a big issue and people would whisper rumors if said so.

Now in the 21st century women can be open with every problem they face. I know many of us have heard stories from our mother or grandmother about the issues they would have faced in their times about periods or body shaming or anything. But when this Gen Z generation looks at the world around it, they do feel a good difference. This difference makes us feel safe in this world. Periods is not a shame word today it is a normal life cycle women have which cannot be ignored. It is discussed in school as sessions, in books, in science, and many more.

As an example, Patna High Court has decided to increase the number of toilets and sanitary napkin dispensers for girls in schools. The Division Bench of K. Vinod Chandran, C.J.* and Madhuresh Prasad, J. directed the State Government to frame guidelines by specifying the number of toilets and sanitary napkin dispenser machines that needed to be provided in proportion to the girl students admitted in each school in Bihar. In the present case, a Public Interest Litigation was filed which projected the need to provide proper facilities for girls in the schools of Bihar, especially toilet facilities and facilities for disposal of sanitary napkins. The high court decided for dispensers and toilets for girls because their hygiene is also a big responsibility, after all they are students in that school and all students are the future of this globe. This decision made people understand the importance of hygiene for both girls and boys and to would decrease a lot of health issues. It is to be known that half of the world’s health issues are occurred due to shortage of sanitary napkins for girls and unhygienic toilets.
