Yogi Adityanath govt`s BIG MOVE – All registered WAQF properties to be probed in UP

The Yogi Adityanath administration in Uttar Pradesh has now chosen to investigate all the properties listed under the Waqf Board, which is a big development. According to rumours, the district administrations have been instructed by the state government to conduct an inspection of these assets and submit their findings within a month.

A government order passed In April 1989 that permitted the registration of Usar, Banjar, and Bhita lands as Waqf properties was cited by the UP government’s official spokesman as the reason Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath ordered an investigation into all properties that were registered after “flouting the 1995 Waqf Act or under a government order.”

The Yogi Adityanath administration’s deputy secretary, Shakeel Ahmed, has addressed a letter to the CEO Shia & Sunni Waqf Board, the Director & Survey Commissioner of Minority Welfare, District Minority Welfare officers, and Revenue officials regarding this.

It Is thought that the government is determined to prevent the illicit ownership and transfer of Waqf-related properties. The government of Uttar Pradesh began surveying the independent madrasas earlier this month and gave district magistrates instructions on how to conduct the inspections.

In a statement on the subject, Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind stated that it has no problems to the Uttar Pradesh government’s survey of unaffiliated madrasas.

Asaduddin Owaisi, the leader of AIMIM, has severely responded to the most recent action taken by the UP government. After targeting madrassas all over the state, the Hyderabad MP claimed that the Yogi regime is now focusing on the Waqf Board. “Go to Tribunal or court if someone has improperly registered government property as Waqf property. The UP government is trying to seize Waqf property. Such a focused survey is simply incorrect. We reject it. Muslims are being targeted systematically “said Owaisi.
